Principal real rights are a crucial topic in civil law, as they regulate ownership rights and their related entitlements. This book examines private ownership, also known as “individual ownership”, which applies to private law entities, whether individuals or entities. The study of principal real rights follows the framework set by the Qatari legislator, who structured these rights in the first book of the second section dedicated to real rights in the Qatari Civil Code, covering Articles (837) to (1057). The legislator addressed ownership rights in the first chapter and the principle real rights derived from ownership in the second chapter. In addition to the provisions outlined in the Civil Code, the study also explores various special legislations, including laws and regulations relevant to the subject. The book is divided into two main sections: The first section focuses on ownership rights, covering its general overview, scope, limitations, and acquisition methods such as occupation, accession, pre-emption, and possession. The second section is dedicated to the principle real rights derived from ownership, including life estate, rights of use and habitation, long-term leasehold, and easements.
